Title : Panasonic NNE222M 0.7cuft metallic silver compact microwave
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Nice Microwave, a little noisy
This microwave is an excelent microwave. The auto-defrost mode is excellent as you can decide what type of meat or bread you are defrosting and how much power you should defrost it with depending on how frozen the food is. The only down side is that it is quite noisy meaning that the usual hum of the microwave is much louder that usual, but if you want auto-cooked, auto-defrosted and auto reheated food then this is a good microwave made by the incomparible Panasonic.

Title : Sharp R96STM Stainless Steel Large 40L 900W/1400W Touch Control Convection Oven with Sensor
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Excellent buy
I have always had Sharp microwaves and, since they have been available, convection. My new microwave, which was ordered on Wednesday evening and arrived Friday morning is about the best yet. I'm delighted, only took 36hours to arrive and so easy to use.

Title : Sharp R209SLM Compact Solo Silver 20L 800W Manual Microwave
Rating : 2 Stars out of 5.
Summary : timer is hardly clear and easy to read
I've had other microwaves with turn dials (though that was years ago) and they were much easier to read than the dial on this microwave. The dots between 0 and 5 are supposed to correspond with each minute but they don't seem to. I have to use my digital timer to get a specific time because using this dial on this microwave is a guessing game.
I purchased this model because I only have the most basic needs (reheating tea and leftovers) and didn't need all the options listed in other models, but spend the extra money cause one you open the box you are stuck with it.

Title : Hinari Lifestyle MX731SSEG Easi-Tronic 0.7 Cu Ft Microwave Oven 800W with 1000W Grill Stainless Steel
Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Pretty but flawed
I should start by explaining that I kept this microwave for all of one day for reasons that will become clear, so I haven't really had the chance to rate it's effectiveness in cooking.
Unfortunately, my Hinari MX731 arrived with a defective fan, which made a loud knocking noise from the very first use (as if catching on something internally). Amazon were their usual efficient selves in accepting it back for a refund, though. What this says for build quality, I don't know - I probably just got a defective unit.
The unit looks fantastic - neither large nor particularly small, the stainless steel all over finish looks more expensive than the price tag suggests, and the button fascia with dial adds some modern elegance (so I feel). The retro 'rod' handle isn't to everyone's taste, but I liked this too and it feels more solid than some more expensive models' equivalent. As others have commented, no stainless steel interior here, so avoid if you're specifically after one.
The weakest point of this microwave by far is the control panel, though. While the dial and buttons operation look great, they are not intuitive to use - selecting defrost etc. can take practice, as some have said. Much worse is that the microwave emits a loud, piercing 'beep' every time the digits on the display alter by one. So, if say you want to cook something for 15 mins., it beeps through each option, then beeps 15 times for every extra minute you turn the dial. So annoying! I don't think you can turn this off, but other users may be able to advise. I know most ovens beep, but at least with touch control, you can usually select increments of '10 mins'.
So, just a summary of first impressions and overall I would say that this is a good value unit, but one that puts aesthetics before practical usage.

Summary : Hinari Lifestyle 800w
A great looking stainless steel microwave which is not at all bulky and can fit easily under kitchen wall units. Performs well but in my opinion is not easy to learn to operate unless you have the instructions beside you.
There is no seperate defrost or reheat button. These functions are operated by repeatedly pressing power button several times to take you to the power level required.
This microwave lacks a quick start user guide printed on front face and for this reason I would certainly not recommend it for someone who is looking for an easy to control microwave.
